I am trying to work out the different ways into buying online media. Why would you choose to buy based on a CPM model instead of by CPC? And are direct response campaigns better to be bought on CPM while more general branding campaigns should be bought on a CPC basis? Any help would be appreciated.
I think CPM and CPC models depend on your niche and network. Sometimes a CPM model can be very profitable, especially if you get a high CTR. On the other hand, you may get a low CTR and CPC might work out more. I would say CPC is more safe in a sense. But, CPM can have it's benefits if done correctly.
So would you say that for a direct response campaign buying on CPM is more cost efficient as the user is more likely to click on the as there is a specific call to action?
If you are getting high Page Impressions and lesser CTR, it is the time to select CPM instead of CPC network for your website. Success CPC network is the CTR and CPC. Where CPM network based on Impressions and eCPM
Hi, I would say if the website you are targeting is highly interested in your product then you should go with CPM if not CPC always never risk you money with CPM non-targeted sites.
