    the subject says it all. are there cpm networks out there where you choose a single banner or two to display. instead of smilley and botox injection banners creeping in?

    Many networks allow you to control ads.
    I see two types of them. First ones allow you to DISABLE some banners/URLs.
    Second ones allow you to PICK ones you want to see.
    Looks like you need a second group.
    ValueClick is an example of this category.
    There are other ones as well...

    You'd think that ValueClick is big enough to process publisher signup (including taxpayer id) over SSL...

    Hmmm... ValueCLick does not seem to work as I expected. I just signed up as a CPM Publisher and there does not seem to be a way to pick a small number of banners to accept. You can block advertisers and such but that's not what I was looking for.
