CPM ads on DigitalPoint

    Has anyone had experience of running them on DP? I notice a few have blitzed this place recently - Per Per Post for example.

    Any estimates of the costs to blitz this place so that every user is guaranteed to see a few of the same advert over the space of a week?

    Cheers,

    Pete

    In the early days of CPM some of use gave it a shot, if I remember correctly it's over $12 CPM.

    http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/advertising.php

    info there, not sure how up to date it is though.

    it's a bit confusing though. it says it's for the keywords tool ads, but the "advertise here" below the forum banners says the same thing. suppose it doesn't make any difference with the site targetting feature.

    Interesting, I wonder how many impressions this place gets - I'm looking to target the forums only.

    Shawn, any statistics you can share?

    Knowing that 20K registered users visit weekly times that by how many pages you yourself click on average and the fact that more than half of the traffic comes from Google, not from registered members... You can do a pretty accurate guess.

    Ah great, those stats give a good measure. Looks like a thousand spent on AdWords will ensure most folk see the add over a week.

    it's been awhile but I do recall two things;

    1. Impressions add up quick.

    2. CTR is poor (like on most forums).

    I think it was about $4 - $6 per/m a year ago to run an ad on the forum.
