Its really funny, I have been watching my CPC for the last few days and this is what I observe: In the first few hours of the day, the CPC is really low, it peaks during the afternoon and drops really low towards the end of the day (PST time zone). Makes me wonder, if those low paying clicks are all from outside the US (need to investigate some more). Its a pretty consistent pattern (happens every day exactly the same).
Hm. I see a ratio of 3:1 So if I would average $2 cpc (would be nice) then I would see $1 in the morning, then it would go up to slightly above $2 throughout the day and then go back to an average of $2.
It's most probably because the earnings per click tends to be higher in the more richer countries like USA, UK and things. So during your high earnings per click it is probably when the US is up and then when you get low earnings it is probably when the US are in mostly in bed sleeping. I also get the same with my stats on similar ad companies.
Thats what I thought too, so I spent some time checking the IP's that were logged by Adlogger. Most of them are western European and Australian IP. Only a view are from Asia.
To be honest, I think its all random. It depends on what ad gets clicked. I don't think a particulr ad will pay more at certain time. I am not sure, but I doubt it.
at wee hoursmost of the adwords players would be asleep so less competition and as the day progresses al the playes come to play and hence increase the cpc
Well. Try out the Adsense preview tool and change the geographic location. See how different ads show up? Clearly visitors from Europe and Australia get other ads. I am just surprised they pay THAT much less.
