CPC starting to go up

Is it common to see the CPC go up with time? I started a website about 2 months ago. In the first month; the average CPC was 4-5 cents. Now I am seeing 7-8 cent average in the 2nd month. Is that typical? Did anyone else experience it?

 

I have also witnessed my cpc go over time. Its around 2 cents higher tha it use to be several months ago.

 

My cpc goes up and down quite regular but seems to rise a little each month too

 

Mine stayed about the same. On some days it's like 0.20~0.50 cents and on others, it's about 0.05~0.1 cents.

 

I would love to have a 20 cent CPC.. I am happy when mine is like 7 or 8 cents

 

i like 7 or 8 cents ,mine is often below 1 cent.

 

I remember last year there was an increase in spending at the end of the year and it increased some publishers revenues, especially those who display graphic ads do to CPM's

 

I've had a very big increase in CPC lately, too, but with a corresponding decrease in CTR. I think it's mostly due to CPM ads, but I think that Google's AdWords quality score change might have something to do with it too.

 

CPC rates may fluctuate a lot for some type of sites, while it's pretty much the same for others. I have a few sites where CPC may be anywhere between $0.03 and $4.00. Makes all so exciting....

 

For me, it was low in the beginning, gradually increased, and now is almost constant with little ups and downs now and then.

I am only using text ads. But the CPC keeps on increasing daily.. little by little. I hope it is not JUST due to increased december spending.. because then it would go down to 4 cents in January
