I was told from a quite of few super affiliates that if you maintain a good history and get your QS scores up to great that in your 3rd-4th month CPC cost drop big time...

I mean does this generally happen over night I was told they can go down as much as ~%50-75?

interesting, so if I have a great keyword costing me .10 it will cost me .5-.6 in 3-4 months??

Should I just double all my new campaigns CPC because it will drop soon?

It's not guaranteed to drop but it usually will in that timeframe if the qs stays constant at a good level.

Think we've discussed this before, but it's dependent on a few other things...

If your advert isn't top, then there's no reason to think that your cost per click will drop - improving your Quality Score will improve your advert's position - it'll only improve your cost per click if your advert position doesn't change.

Also, it assumes that your Quality Score is improving more quickly than your nearest competitor's. If their QS improves faster than you, your cpc will increase, not decrease.

Your cpc can improve in a jump - all it takes is for your nearest competitor to reduce his bids (or his QS to deteriorate). Similarly, your cpc can get higher in a jump - if your competitor increases his bids, or does something to improve his QS (such as write a more relevant advert, or improve his website).

Please shout if i'm wrong but your CPC is not only related to your Quality Score

Quality Score x Max CPC = Rank (not actual CPC)

Actual CPC = Rank (of next competitor) / Your QS + 1p

So as Custard Mite said if you increase your QS and keep the same MaxCPC you increase your Rank not decrease your CPC

Absolutely right, though if your QS improves only slightly, your advert will stay in the same place, so your cpc will fall a little...
