Hey, I am a bit curious about the Google keyword tool, and CPC rates. I was looking at some keywords on the keyword tool, and they have CPC rates of around $8 in the US. Does this mean that if an ad is placed on a page that has the key term it cam make $8 per click? (assuming it is a relevant ad) Or does the adsense for content have a different system? Thanks in advance, If this was posted before please send me a link as i could not find anything.
that means the ads cost is 8$. I think Google takes 60% of that amount and give the publisher 40/30%. Is it clear?
okay no one knows this for sure but there are numerous sites that say the % your refer to is say around 68%, but the $8 is the MAXIMUM that the advertiser is prepared to pay, but google works on a 1c bid rule so however if the next advertiser is only prepared to pay $1 then the top paying advertiser will only ever pay $1 +1c (Even if they are prepared to pay $8 they will only pay 1c above the nearest competitior0 so you will only ever get 68% of that not $8. Test it yourself and bid $40 on 'fart' in adwords, in reality you will be no.1 yet still only pay around 20c. Hope this helps a lot of people with regards to keywords
Nope you earn 68%*$8 per click and the click is based on geo-location. Means if a person in USA clicked on your ads you most likely earn the full amount. If a guy in india click on your ads you earn a few cents.
