Hi.. back in In the past 2-3 months, my sites CPC has gone done sharply. I used to get the occasional adclick (I didn't have much traffic) and get $1.20/click! It steadily went down and now I never get more than $0.08/click. I get on average around 4 clicks/day now and it just feels like I'm being ripped off. Heres the URL: wildwobby.com I have widget bucks at the top and side, but adsense inside some of the posts. Even the widget bucks is doing poorly... worse than adsense! Any ideas? Most of my traffic comes from google results and 95% of it is because of this page: http://wildwobby.com/hardware/build-a-mac-for-350/ Please help!
Firstly, you cant be ripped off by google, they never sold you anything but regarding low earnings per click, it basically just happens, it wont stay the same. Advertisers pay less from time to time, allsorts of things can affect it.
This could be possibly due to the global recession especially in US; the adwords people seems started reducing their budget which in turn will translate in the form of reduced CPC. The cycle will turn in your favor soon. Cheers
Remove adsense for few days and than put it back. You can also use friends adsense ID/channel to see if your accout got hit due to poor performance.
People keep opening new threads about Google paying less and less per click lately. It's not SmartPricing. We can do nothing about that. Wait and prey for better times. Or just try another way to monetize your site. Direct ad sales, affiliate programs... in some cases & niches they perform much better than AdSense.
