My new website www.popularscreensaver.info is getting a nice CTR (10-20%) but terrible CPC (roughly $0.01, sometimes less). Any tips to improve the CPC?

Possible reasons your CPC is low :
    - adsense bot hasn't visited your site yet, so ads are not relevant
    - you have very little text => very few keywords
    So you should :
    - wait some days if your site is new
    - write more text, adsense doesn't read pictures
    Good luck

In a way adsense can read pictures through alt tags, so optimise alt tags and yes more text is needed.

Yes, unfortunately, screensavers have very low cpc.

Yeah they are too common. Try waiting a few days, some things may change, try being more specific in screensavers like nature or animals.

Block all MFA site ads too (like the ones which days, Find All Info on Screensavers or All Info About Screensavers In Just One Click).

The website is only a few days old and is getting 5 hits from google per day. I'm quite surprised.

    Thanks for the tips, guys.

I don't understand what you mean. If you think I am making invalid clicks then you are incorrect - the 10-20% CTR is natural.

    Hey,

I've been having the same luck. My CTR has been pretty good (albeit not as good as yours), but cpm is fairly low. I'm in the process of adding some sites to my blacklist to get the MFA's and other low bidders out of my ads, so I can bring up revenue a bit.

I'm not sure I would publish my URL here since haters like SUN might put a clickbot on your site to get you banned... Or maybe I'm just paranoid.

The best you can do is to block MFA ads. If you haven't used this before, you might want to try http://www.adsblacklist.com - it generates 200 MFA sites for you to add to your filter.

Site targeted, smartpricing, advertisers budget, domain, low advertiser competition on some sections, MFA.. take your pick.
