I'm looking for something along the lines of: 1gb of space 100gb bandwidth cPanel 99.9% uptime 256mb ram, burstable to whatever Multiple domain host (well, 3+) Budget, about $20 a month. Any suggestions?
Hard to find a quality VPS around $20, especially with 256MB and CP. I believe you should increase your budget a bit. Slhost.com has a great service. Also knownhost.com is one of the best out there
I know there's no free space from bad feedback on GoDaddy hosting, only I myself love it. So I recommend it to others. Close to your budget you may find a package here. They have a "Build your own package" option so you may even get a cheaper deal if you are lucky enough. Like I said, I'm happy with their service.
I could probably stretch to $30? Clive, that from godaddy is $40 if you include cpanel Thanks for the suggestion though
Sorry about that. I googled for more options and could not find anything under $40.. Maybe someone can get you a better deal, good luck!
Seo, Slhost is having a special through the end of the month that is not pushed real hard on their site. 256/20/150 with cPanel is only $22.47 if paid 6 months at a time. Monthly rate is 35.96. Do me the favor of a review if you go with them. I think the price includes all renewals.
dont know prices, but check out fdcservers, i know they have vps. I have a dedicated with them and no problems whatsoever.
You're not going to get a VPS with CPanel thats 1GB. CPanel + Os + Lamp is 1GB. I can give you a CPanel reseller account on a slightly better server. With 5GB space and 75GB bandwidth for $10 monthly. You would be allowed to host as many accounts as needed. Please take a look at http://valve-hosting.com We also offer free shared hosting to over 200 users.
Any reason you need a VPS? You can get some pretty good, stable and reliable shared deals for 1 GB space and 100 GB bandwidth.
You really don't get many 100GB b/w for shared hosting. Otherwise everyone would go to hostagator.com and get their 100GB space, 1000GB b/w deal. lol
I don't see what difference the bandwidth requirements make. I'd do a custom package for 2000 GB bandwidth if they paid $200/month. What matters is how much CPU a site uses on a shared server.
Its not about bandwidth, you can have 20000tb of the stuff but if your proxy is using so much CPU it won't actually load that bandwidth is useless, hence needing a VPS or a DS.
I'm sharing one with a mate Getting double the specs that I want but as we're sharing the cost equally it works out about right Thanks all
if you donot want to host proxy sites then I will recommend you to try spry.com their plans are affordable and reliable. but not for proxy or IRC
