    Hello,

Is there a way to change the IP of the master IP on the cPanel server without loggin into WHM.

The IP that the server was using is expired and I can't log in to WHM to change it.

I have tried just editing eth0 to the new IP then running the update licence command

    /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt

    Can anyone advise.

I am a little confused how I can change it from IP X to IP Y where X is the old IP which is expired and Y is the new one I have just taken out.

    Remember no WHM
    Thanks

The "Y" is not in same eth ?

If it is then you can register "Y" and logg-in to the WHM and change the master Ip, it's what I do sometime with my VPS's.

I'm selling cPanel License from $20 USD (Tier-1 Dedicated) :) If you need msg me :D

    Thanks!

You need to contact with the cpanel to change the access IP. If you have bought the license directly from Cpanel then just login in your client account and update them either contact with your provider to do that :)

They should do it for free i think ;)

How he can change his server IP from cPanel's customer panel ? + Why he need to contact cPanel to change his server IP ? sorry my english is not good but I really don't get you :p

loL :D I think he should do it himself or by any system admin, cPanel won't do it if he do not have any support credit left (by the way cpanel charge for every support they provide)

    Regards

The IPs Im using here are made up but I think it will help explain.

I have bought over a customers server who was hosting on my network. Unfortunately his IPs Licencing for this server werent kept up to scratch with the cPanel Licencing provider that he rented from.

The IP is now expired and I cannot get through to the providers billing and support to renew it. They are being very unresponsive and I am not really satisfied to stay with them as a provider.

The old IP lets say is: 123.123.123.111 (Old)

Since I have my own range its not that difficult to assign a new IP to this box.

I am using 123.123.123.222 (New) for this.

    Just to reitterate:

IP .222 has a good VALID working cPanel licence from a new reseller.
    IP .111 has expired.

I need to get it working. I have tried changing the eth0 settings from .111 to .222 and then running the licence updater but that doesn't work.

This should provide more information for you I believe.

    Thanks
