cPanel - The restoring Database - takes long time

    Hello Friends ,

    I have started the process of restoring my database , some 2 hours ago , and still i can see the same white page with text "RESTORING DATABASE" . Yes, i did everything correctly , i clicked that browse button , and provided my backup file . Can anyone help me ?

    creat new database and go to myphpadmin import sql file in your new database

    I assume you're actually restoring via backup through WHM which in this case does not have any time out values.

    If the database is large then this could explain why it is taking a very long time. However if it is small then most likely the page has timed out for you which can happen from time to time. If this is the case then the restoration would have continued in the background and should be completed.

    You're best off doing a restore through PHPmyAdmin or a local app like SQLyog if you have SSH access or remote mySQL.
