So my hosting cpanel wont open. xx.xx.xxx.xx:2086

When I connect the computer directly to the modem, it works but not through my router.

So after I set up my site and everything, the site and switch back to using my router, the site won't load....so everytime I want to view my own site, I have to connect the computer directly to the modem.

    What can cause this?

    Hello there,

It sounds like you have it pin pointed to the router causing you issues. I would start there, and ensure that it is not blocking outgoing ports.

    Regards,
    Chris

In that case try to access the cpanel as http://cpanel.yourdomain.com because its proxy URL and its work on port 80 therefore router won't block it.....

Your router is blocking the port. Use a site like portforward.com and follow the directions there.
