cPanel Price increase, How it will impact on freelancers and small industry?

    A couple of weeks ago cpanel announced that a per server pricing to a per account model. So a $11 per cPanel license for each server and running 1,000 websites, now have to pay $122. That’s approximately 1000% price rise!. How it will impact on new freelancers and small industry ? it's a monopolies is happening in hosting industry .what are the alternatives or create a self control panel ?

    You have no choice. The pricing will impact your pricing model. The clients who are used to cPanel and can't move to some other hosting control panel. Will have to make extra price. The freelancer's who have a lot of clients and can move to an alternative or move all their domains to an individual cPanel account. Should move to a VPS with free web hosting control panel. This may not going to impact there net profit. I won't recommend for Plex. Cause it's the same company now who owns cPanel.

    If you have 1,000 web sites running on a single server with Cpanel and you are concerned with $122/mo then you are doing something majorly wrong.

    If you have MUCH less then who cares.. Their top package is $45/mo +$.20 per site OVER 100. Doesn't seem like this will break the bank for any hosting company or individual. Their lowest option went from $15 to $20. Relax. Breathe. Not the end of the world.
