Hi guys. Need some help. I just got my new domain. I have forward the nameserver to hosting as a 2nd domain. After few hours my sites is running, and i have install wp for it. However due to a mistake, i have manually delete the wordpress folder. So i try to install it again. And it gives me error cant install more than 1 script in domain root. The thing is my domain root is empty, except for the cgi bin file. Anyone can help me on this..please
Thats the problem. I already did that like 3 times. still got the same error. let me explain : My main domain : mytv8. 2nd domain : watchsmallville 3rd domain : boxmerah So i want to install wp in my 3rd domain. It works just fine when the sites is up and running. However, i made a mistake when i deleted all the wp file in it. So i thought i can just reinstall it. Then i just remain the cgi bin file. I try to install wp again. No success.. then i deleted my 3rd domain, the root file. I install it again. Try to install wp...still no success Error msg : The installation can not be completed: - You cannot install more than one script in the root directory of a domain.
I think you are trying to install the wp on same directory of root domain. If you want i will fix it for free. Pm me your cpanel info
Just use show hidden file option from file manger and delete all hidden file and also delete database of wp
The simple solution will be to call your hosting and exsplain the problem. Well hapen two tings thay will fixed for you ore will gige you to fixed. I hop that will help.
I agree that the best thing to do would be to contact your provider. It will be much easier and quicker for them to resolve the problem because they will have SSH access. Jack
lol.. look in ur root folder, if you're still having this problem.. there should be a folder call .fantasticodata open up that folder and look for the files that correspond to the wordpress installation and delete them.. when u manually deleted the wordpress folder, ur fantastico still think's there's a installation there and thus would disallow u to install again on the same directory. look for the file that has the list of ur installed applications/scripts from .fantasticodata and remove those lines/files corresponding to it.
