right, i have just setup my cpanel server but am having problems as to where the website is hosted,

my server is 178.162.135.***, in the basic cpane/whm setup area it says about shared ip virtual hosts, this had been setup to 84.16.228.194 allthough i dont own this ip address.

what am i supposed to put in here so that all websites use my server to host the webpages??

i did put in my main ip address that i would use to access the WHM area all though it says that it is not recommended.

will this allow me to host multiple websites from my main server

    Hello there,

You need to put an IP address that is pointed to your server in the "Basic cPanel & WHM Setup" area. This is used for creating new accounts without a dedicated IP address, this IP will be used, as it is the main shared IP for all accounts. When making DNS changes, it may take some time to resolve to the server. I've also noticed that you need to add and A record in the covhost.com DNS zone file so that you have glue with your name servers. If you need more help, just let me know.

upload your files to public_html folder of your hosting account. yes you will be able to host multiple sites through addon domains. the number of addon domains allowed depends on your hosting package you bought.
