How can I prevent users from using an account for a torrent tracker.

Recently I have had a client buy a basic account. This account reflected a 5mb usage in WHM.

On examination the CPU usage was through the roof and the HDD was getting increasingly full.
It jumped by a total of 36GB over just a few days but this did not show in WHM.

I have had to terminate the account. The space increase was due to cached files thru this torrent software called flux.

Why did it not show up in WHM so I could have spotted it.

Is there anyway of preventing such abuse or is it just a case of watching for increased server strains and diskspace consumption. Please help?

Am annoyed as we have never had to terminate an account through breach of TOS. We have always sorted it out with the client.
On this occasion I had to to save the CPU resource. We don't have a problem with the increase in diskspace although this is the fundemental problem with torrent trackers I would imagine. If left operationaly I guess they eat up all your resources!

WHM/Other control panel(s) don't count in+out. They only count one side.

Thanks for that. So the user is NOT able to store files outside the home/ folder?
