Cpanel Backup

    Can someone tell a noob how to backup a site on cpanel and create a zip file so i can email it to someone else ?

    Can you see the Backup icon in your cPanel? Click that icon and you can do yourself.

    In cPanel, click "Backups" then you'll want to "generate/download a full backup". Once the backup is done, there will be a link that you can click to download it and send if small enough.

    Do you also need to send a database? It's good to download a copy in .gz format.

    to Backup files clik Backups, and for the databases go to PHPmyadmin ---->export db

    backup would work fine

    or else you can also open the 'File Manager' select all files zip it and download it

    for the DB open phpmyadmin > select the database > export tab > select 'save as a file' at the bottom > go

    There is a backup icon in the cpanel, just lick on it, If you cant find it enter your ftp and download anything you need from there.

    if you have a backend root access, then you can create the account into a package using /scripts/pkgaccount.

    Back up icon is there.. U choose save option for files and DBs..(If you have a db)
