i couldnt find any other place to put this so i presume web hosting is the best section for this topic.

Basically, i was moving host so i created a full cPanel backup of my account ready for the new hosting company, but he said it was invalid, is there anyway to find the information id put on my website without it being restored?

Try generating another backup of your account in cPanel. Once completed, you should be able to download it from the server using FileManager in cPanel, or you could just use a free FTP client like FileZilla. It would be a lot quicker if you got your new host to copy the account over for you though.

If the pages are indexed with a search engine you may able to get the information back for them by using the Cached link.

AFAIK,when you moving to new host, they do provide free transfer.
You can open a ticket and sit back to wait them do the server transfer.

Most hosting companies offer Free transfer to new users. Its even not needed that you make a backup for your files. They do all things for you. And its just needed that you gave them your login information.
