I have a master reseller with cpanel/whm/zamfoo. I have one reseller that has two sub accounts that need to be moved to my new alpha account on a new server.. but because the server is in such bad shape the full site cpanel backups do not work. the reseller who iI get this account from has sent many tickets to the server owner but they refuse to get this fixed. (Disk /dev/sda7 (/tmp) 100 % - Swap Used 89.81 %) I also have used off site backups service with no luck in getting a full backup of the reseller and/or sub accounts under. Im worried that this server will go belly up and my clients reseller and sub accounts will be lost. I am able to get his files with ftp but need the full backup to move things. Im at a loss for what to do next but did contact ENLIGHTHOST.COM and asked them to fix this. for what good that will do??? any help or suggestions on how to get a full back is welcome..... p.s... my reseller is awesome with trying to fix this but cant because of ENLIGHTHOST.COM just sux... So, the actual server have the /tmp folder totally full, and the owner refuse to clean it. You need desperately to have a backup copy otherwise everything will be lost... this is hard but you should hire a coder to make a backup application for you, you need also to be a lot lucky to have the opportunity to use your own personal php.ini file and setting up a different tmp folder (yes it's possible with upload_tmp_dir - seems talking about upload but work also as tmp directory, also for sessions files), then you must be lucky if the server owner hasn't set it to work in safe_mode so, if you are lucky, you can use shell_exec to tar entire folders. You are already lucky enough that you use ZamFoo so all the informations regarding reseller accounts and accounts in general are in plain text files so you should hire another developer to do the "read a file, execute a tar, download the backup". Now, to download the mysql database you will need also the generate a (another) script to read correctly all the folders and scraping sql files from the structure... Sound absurd but not impossible... I had to do this absurd round... if at the end you will be able to recover all the data... forget (maybe forgive) the old host, sue him if you want... but go, find a bar and have a drink. It worked for me, it was exactly in 2009, october.
I think if your current web hosting company just can't help you you need to think about new one. That is my opinion.
Well you can use - www.cpdatabackup.com or www.siteautobackup.com for store restore your backup! I'm using whmeasybackup.com - You can try it also! Thank you!
Problem for jpoke5, due the fact that the TMP function is full he cannot use the backup facilities of cPanel to make the backup so he cannot move everything via FTP or using cpdatabackup, siteautobackup or whmeasybackup.
