I need a script that makes automated cPanel backups and gives the user the choice to
    - download the backups to the hard drive
    - save the backups on the server
    - save the backups on another server
    - send the backups to an email address

(including email notification when backups are ready)

Is there anyone out there who can write this for me?

cPanel has its own backup system built in that backups all of your configuration and everything. Try contacting your hosting provider and asking them if they can let you have access to this feature.

Most hosting companies remove this feature to stop people from making useless daily backups and filling the HDD.

    I'm looking for a set-and-forget solution.

As far as I know, you can't send backups to your email address when using the cPanel feature..

No and you said you wanted it saved to the server. And yes you can just set it and forget it. Not to mention it allows you to back it up to another server aswell.
