I an in a bit of a problem with a vps whose cpanel license has expured. I need to modify bandwidth quota for one of the account resident in this vps. However as cpanel/whm license has expired, i can't figure out how to it. Can i install a second cpanel likezpanel or kloxo without touching the expired cpanel? Or Is there any other way for me to login tovps and modify one of the website's bandwidth quota?
How about just renewing the cPanel license? It's only $15 at the most. It's not really going to be possible to install another panel. You can go to /var/cpanel/users/ and see the files for each cPanel user. One of the lines will be BWLIMIT. Just change that and the quota will be changed.
if your provider is too expensive, you can buy cpanel from a different site, such as: buycpanel.com, but if you cant afford a cpanel license, you might be better off to look into shared for hosting your sites, it might work out to be alot better for you in the long run. As for kloxo, I would never try to switch from kloxo to cpanel on a server that is actively hosting websites. As someone that has used kloxo, I have to say while it is great to have a free to use option, once you have used cpanel / whm, you just cant go back. WSWD advice seems to be correct, though I found a guide for you on how to do it here : http://community.singlehop.com/community-tutorials/123-how-change-limit-bandwidth-ssh.html
Matt_62 and WSWD Thanks for the replies. I did manage to fix the problem by following your advise. Much appreciated.
