I've just used cPanels addon domain feature to add a domain to my hosting account. www.addondomain.com works fine, but addondomain.com goes to : http://www.addondomain.com/addondomain/ and gives a 404 I have no htaccess file in the addon domain directory. Any ideas?
Forget it. Some idiot had left an htaccess in the main domain from when I previously had the addon domain parked. Mods - feel free to delete this thead.
That is strange, something must have happened. Have you tried to delete the addon domain and recreate it ? You can always put a .htaccess file so non-www goes to www, but thats just the workaround. Better to fix the problem first. EDIT: hehe, its always like that for me (your second post), its me who have done something weird when a problem comes.
why not u contact ur host? i like my hosting comp so they handle all the hosting issue ... no more headache for me. or do u have dedicated?
