Has anyone seen the new cpanel which is version 11? What do you guys think about the new cpanel - do you like it better than the previous versions?
Well cPanel 11 is now pretty much standard you have to run it if you're running cPanel unless you haven't updated in ages. From my understanding cPanel 11 is a complete re-write which is going to allow them in the future to add new features much easier and better maintain their codebase. It does have some nice things like the updated x3 skin but for the most part 11 is the same as the previous version in terms of features and such. We'll see the real benefits when they get it fully stable and their new apache build system out the door then they can focus on new features.
It is definitely better.I've upgraded few months ago to cPanel 11 and it is pretty good.The x3 skin is simply awesome.
The x3 skin has some more web 2.0 type elements to it. Also WHM has some as well with auto completes in some area's but still having the old way of selecting accounts and such still as well.
Yes, cPanel uses ajax, not WHM though. Thats been pretty stable, though its using same quantity of resources aas earlier versions did
