I imagine its a result of the change to the forum.

 

My EPC has dropped recently from about 35 cents USA to 31 cents. Do you know why the EPC fluctuates so much? My overall earnings are up for the month, which I'm still happy about.

I'll explain why your earnings are UP but EPC's are slightly down (your earnings and how much you make being the most important)

EPC (earnings per click) is a good metric but only explains a little bit of what is going on.

Simply put, our #1 priority is always to ensure that you make more money.

So you're making more money with us but notice that your EPC's fluctuate up and sometimes down a little bit. Why? Well, think of it this way:

We'll use an example where you have 100 visitors (traffic)

Scenario 1 (Higher EPC but lower earnings)

if there is an offer that converts 50% of the time
has a payout of $1.00 USD, you're going to have an EPC of 50 cents USD

However, its very possible that only 5% of your traffic is clicking which means that you would be losing quite a bit (95% of your traffic).

So out of 100 people, 5 click and at 50% conversion half of those convert. Meaning 2.5 convert on a $1.00 offer so you generate $2.50 in earnings.

Scenario 1 Overall: You have a 50 cent EPC and generate $2.50 off of 100 visitors

Scenario 2 (Lower EPC but higher earnings)

An offer converts 25% of the time (25% conversion rate)
Has a payout of $1.00
EPC of 25 cents USD
40% of users click (aka clickthrough)

So out of 100 people, you get 40 people to the offer and 10 of them convert (25% conversion and 25% of 40 is 10). Meaning, 10 visitors convert on a $1.00 offer and you generate $10.00 !!

Scenario 2 Overall: You had a 25 cent EPC and generated $10.00

As you can see, you can definitely generate MORE revenue while having a lower EPC. Our network doesn't go on and on about EPC's and only EPC's in an effort to attract publishers since we know what publishers want more than anything. To earn as much as possible from their traffic.

So our system is designed to optimize offers to maximize your earnings, not your EPC's or clickthrough stats...your EARNINGS . We look at EPC's, conversion rates, payouts and clickthroughs.

In the end, you may hear about EPC's but CPAlead is about earning you the most money possible. Its best for the publisher and its best for us

 

I realize that the last post was rather lengthy but I wanted to make sure everyone knows and can see that at CPAlead we're a little different. We're happy to work with our publishers and analyze things from any angle. We also focus on simply "making publishers more money" vs talking about one metric or another.

In a world where companies scrub leads, earnings etc and don't pay (on time or at all) its important to know that at the end of the day, publishers generate more money with CPAlead than anywhere else and they get paid 100% of the time (we're 7 years running without missing a single payment).

7 years and you haven't missed a payment? i find that hard to beleive but good job if thats true especially for an incentive network.

In fact, we issued an open to challenge to anyone asking them to show that they had even once missed payment from CPAlead and offered $500 to anyone who could. Not a single solitary person did - the article can be found here

We also challenged all of the other Content Locking companies to do the same. Many of them acknowledged the article itself and commented (in comment section) but elected not to attempt making the same claim.

I believe that there are a lot of temptations about "high EPC's and BIG PAYOUTS" but they're just numbers on a screen if the company never pays the publisher or can't payout. With CPAlead, you know that if you're legit and you earn something then you'll be paid - guaranteed! (our record speaks for itself)

is it just me or anyone else here couldn't get any kind of answer from CPALead staff?
i tried to contact my Affiliate manager because i had a few doubts about my campaign, if it was safe and legal. since i got no answer there, i tried the payement support and i even tried calling but i got no answers at all and all the phone numbers were off. i also tried skype, but still no answer.

I just wanna say, i was wrong in my first post on CPALead staff. Maybe there was lack of comunication beetween me and my AM, but Justin's support was very usefull and quick. I was positively surprised since i was so long without any type of answer from the staff. I will in the future keep using their service because their support and general services are great! Hello, yes you can use CPAlead as a (direct) link to our offers if you're interested.

Our technology is setup to allow overlays (The content locker) or direct linking.

Once you setup an account, you will have the option to setup as a direct link. If you need some help, please let us know and we'll be happy to guide you through the process.
