So you guys will not make any security to block this king of website? It's very alarming because once the script of that website has been distributed to other, websites like that will grow more like mushrooms and probably they can make it more advance so they'll be able to block your gateway.

If we could block it we would. But the issue lies in the fact that their servers fetch your website and strip any javascript tag, there is no blocking that unless you block their IP from accessing your website, which CPAlead can't do on your behalf. It has nothing to do with the security of the gateway, it has to do with the security of your website.

bah, I figured out if you just select Page Style > No Style, then quickly hit the stop button in Firefox you can easily disable it. No need for any fancy software or debugging tool, it's something that's already built-in with the browser. I know it'll lead you to a cpalead page if it's disabled, but that's only a few seconds later where you can quickly grab the content. Can this be fixed?

Guys - if someone tries hard enough, they can probably get around the gateway. I sure know that I can and I'm not even that technically knowledgeable.

However, the fact of the matter is that probably only 1-2% of visitors will use these methods to get around your gateway. Don't worry about that very small amount of lost revenue, instead, focus on increasing traffic to your website to significantly increase your earnings.

This is very true! The people who are searching for 'ways around it' are probably people who would never ever fill out a survey anyways in the first place. However we are still the most secure content locking widget out there, I mean CPAlead invented Adblock protection, Javascript protection, and much more under the hood protection that isn't seen by the user. But the fact is CPAlead invented these first, and will continue to be on the bleeding edge. :)

Make sense though once a website like that became popular and that little niche against cpalead gateway became saturated.. In a visitors perspective, I would rather use their script which I can access the content in just 3 clicks on my mouse rather than complete a 15 pages of survey or input my CC credentials which is very hustle. That is what I'm actually pointing out.

Imagine, if I got pissed completing those surveys and I google "How to unlock cpalead gatewat" then hundreds of websites with an application like that will appear then I would rather use it than take 20 mins of my time completing those surveys.

I hope cpalead are finding a way to at least have an alternative solutions for this and I hope you guys are miles ahead when it comes to this kind of security issue.

agreed. Finding that one quick solution will save a lot of time instead of filling out a survey, especially when there's multiple gateways that need to be unlocked. What's disappointing is that although I commend the efforts to increase security with advanced features, I happened to bypass it using a simple technique.

You guys STILL don't understand. (Most of) The people on this forum know significantly more about websites and the internet than the average visitor - just because some of us can find a way around the gateway, doesn't mean lots of our visitors do. No affiliate systems works or tracks PERFECTLY - so stop complaining about the few visitors per day who manage to get around the CPA Lead gateway.

I dont know about the rest of you, but this forum is one the top search results in Google when looking to bypass cpalead. One search will lead to another and the next thing you know they have all the info and methods. Maybe I just gave one away by posting that tidbit above. Should I delete it?

How many people will search Google for "bypass CPA Lead"? My guess is not many.

Google shows about 5000 GLOBAL searches for similar phrases last month (using the keyword tool). For most affiliates, that's a couple visitors and just a few cents in lost revenue. Stop being so paranoid.

dlm is on the money in this argument. The fact is that you folks who are complaining have a reasonable issue to be bugged about (everyone wants more $), but you're too ignorant of the technology behind what's happening with the scripts to see that there is literally no solution whatsoever that CPALead can implement to fix this.

However, as Jason stated earlier, you can take care of this on your own server if you're so worried about the very small fraction of users who will attempt to use the bypass websites. It's your responsibility to do this, though, no CPALead's or anyone else.

yeah, in no way am I trying to start a fight with anyone. I was merely showing an exploit and asking if there's a workaround for it. I don't know, maybe I worded my posts incorrectly which might have come across as being anal. I e-apologize

If your account was banned with us, chances are you had a duplicate account with us or you were caught spamming or exploiting our offers. Please write security (at) cpalead.com to find out more details. It's rare that we ban anyone, however we have over 100,000 publishers to watch over and the select few that we ban, always write us here acting like they haven't a clue on why they were banned then follow up with an apology letter.

Bottom line: If you are exploiting our offers, we will take action. We need to protect our advertisers to protect the earnings of the majority of our publishers.
