There is cpaleadforum.com, but again, that's run by a publisher and not official. I'm willing to bet what you viewed was an unofficial forum not run by cpalead but they were still ok with it.

Let us know when you find a link to it.

Here is a web page that uses the CPALead Feed to present a geotargeted list of offers to the viewer:

    http://iq-challenge.info/quizfun.php

I just use that site for messing around so I don't mind sharing it, heh. If you're curious, no you don't make any money running cpalead offers without incentive. :)

BTW I can't find any mention of that forum, but I did find one that looked "sort of familiar" to it and was owned by someone else. May have been my mistake entirely, but I would swear that I had been on an "official" cpalead forum once before.

Incidentally, I'm just finishing a script that adds postback to an existing DB and runs the feeds with your postback gateway ID. You can include it into your PHP on a site, and have them in the HTML of your page, or you can put them on a server and iframe it from anywhere. For this one, though, I'm going to give it away so I'm not doing any reports or reward handling code. All this script does is get the data into your database, where you can work with it.

Should be ready for beta tonight, if anyone's interested. And it's going to need a beta, because apparently the postback tester isn't entirely working and I can't seem to complete any offers to test it manually. Really, I love the technical aspects of CPALead and you guys do have one of the most active networks around. It's just too bad about the quality of the product.

As much as I like the network, every time I have to see a CPALead survey offer I end up angry about it.

I kind of agree with you there. The surveys are becoming longer and more elaborate all the time and I really wish they were truly just simple email submits. Sure, those wouldnt pay the big bucks, but you'd get about 100 times more of them every day, so the advertiser gets a good mailing list with the leads and our content is easier to obtain and you'd still make the same amount of money each day overall. Win/win

Yes, the legit offers are so much nicer. These are just frustrating, in themselves. The part that makes me angry is the heavy, HEAVY co-reg requirements. Over 30 co-reg offers required? And today one tried to get me to complete a mobile offer as co-reg!

As far as I can tell, this means that once they have captured coreg data on your .79 survey offer, they score for as much as $60 in coreg deals. And what that means to me, in the long term, is that if I incent that user to complete one of those offers at a later time, I've got a bad lead for it.

I would rather see decent 2nd tier offers in the gateway than what CPALead provides as "surveys".

Also, legit email submits are typically paying more than the majority of CPALead Survey offers.

And then, when the user quits after 8-10 pages of added co-reg offers and a load of frustration, they are already opted in and receiving the marketing mailsfrom some offers, neither one of us is credited for completion, and their content is not unlocked. This is the reason that I have removed the CPALead gateways from every site I had them on (all two of them ;) ).

It's a shame really since the network offers great tools, a good experience, and the most active community of any network I've ever participated in. I assume the inability to produce or acquire the cleaner offers has more to do with the types of incentivization they allow. When you let people use "questionable" methods to incent, you end up with "questionable" sponsors.

Anyways, I've got to go do some errands for a while, and then I'll be back looking for someone who wants free postback integration with their database. Like I said - issues with the product aside, I love their toys.

This is so true... the only thing that keeps me on cpalead is their great support and tools but the surveys suck! :(

I think some one who has filled the survey before will hate to do it again.. it's just a pain in the ass... no one wants to fill 10 pages of crap.. that annoying.

    depends how you monetize it.

Right now AAN has only surveys for US and UK

But considering your traffic, if you are able to upkeep that when applying AAN, you could make a fair amount of cash.

    Hi,

New to this network I put it in some of my websites and it gives about 100 leads a day.

Today I tried myself a survey to know exactly what visitor need to complete a survey. At the end nothing append, my website was not unlocked, I waited minutes and nothing append.
I'm pretty sure that I complete the survey as I received email from them.

In cplead stats, nothing append to.

    Questions :
    1) is it normal ? (maybe it's because cpalead detects my IP as the webmaster of this website)
    2) if not , what is the problem ? ( shaving :( ? )

Some of you may think that our surveys "suck", however they have the highest EPC in our networks history. These are surveys we have been striving to get and a lot of them have exclusive high payouts that only we can get.

The surveys in the past may have been easier, such as a simple e-mail submits, however they did not convert or pay nearly as well. We have graduated since then, and provide your traffic with offers that end up making you more money per click. Our offers and their payouts are only getting better as our advertisers fight for our traffic.

A quick note about E-mail submit offers, they are not what you think they are, and they are becoming extinct. No advertiser really wants to pay $1 for an E-mail submit, it's a gimmick for some networks to get you to send traffic. Usually what the network will do, is judge how many people put in their e-mail address and how many people actually filled out the whole survey afterwards. If users are only giving their e-mails and not filling out the rest of the survey, you can be assured the network will either reverse all leads you have done on that offer, or scrub you to the point where you don't want to promote that offer anymore.

If you want to generate leads and be assured you will be paid for them at the end of the month, then we're your best bet. I invite anyone to look in this thread to find out when the last time it was when we reversed on one of our publishers. It has been over a year.

From my point of view, I'd rather have at least the option of promoting simple email submits. Even if they only paid 10 cents a piece the average publisher with a simple movie or TV site would get 100 times more of them in a day. Both publishers and website visitors have been complaining about these neverending surveys that, when finally completed, still won't unlock the content!

It's frustrating and we all know what a traffic killer that is. I understand that these neverending surveys have the highest EPC in your networks history, and that's great, but all I'm suggesting is the option to have at least a couple of surveys that are super simple one page email submits for those with traffic that works with those offers well, even if they pay much less.

As Davidc1 pointed out above, the advertiser got his email and they've already started to send him stuff, so they got what they wanted, but as a user the content didnt unlock and, as a publisher, he never got paid. There's gotta be a better way. That's all I'm saying.

And there you go. I learned a long time ago that just because I think something doesn't make it so

I don't personally understand how that can be, but neither do I really understand how a clickbank-style long-pitch page can be a better sales tool than a nice, focused multi-page site. But years of testing and statistics are definitely not wrong. Your network seems strong and healthy, and people are making boatloads of money, so you're surely doing something right.

As far as the other coments about email submits, they're almost (ALMOST) all lures for the "co-reg bonus dogpile" style of thing now, that's true. And CPALead is not the only place that I've seen over 20 co-reg deals attached to a "survey" offer.

Basically, I'm not down on CPALead, just frustrated. And this post from Troy continues to show a great attitude, which seems to be carried out by the rest of the staff too. You guys are definitely the best network in many ways, and it shows.

So, does AAN open for application already? How come some could start monetizing with AAN already?

Theres also an extremely simple solution to those that are concerned about "long surveys" that don't convert nearly as often as higher converting offers... CHOOSE EASY LEAD FORMULA! This will sort your surveys based on its conversion rate, and not epc. So you'll always have the highest converting at the top, these will ALSO be the quickest ones.

    Hi,

Why can't any of my browsers see my widget?
The page said to disable ABP, which I've disabled (on Firefox)... but still can't access it.

I even loaded it up in Internet Explorer and Opera (which has no ABP)
and it still said to disable ABP.

    What gives?

    Thanks for your help.

P.S. I enabled AdBlock Plus Protection, Disabled Javascript Protection
    and Advanced Protection.

ok so frustrated chatter aside, I'm ready to test this script, I hope no one minds me announcing it here since it's 100% cpalead related. I'm not sure if there will be any interest or not. I'm looking for one or two testers with basic to intermediate php/mysql knowledge. Someone who could write a script like this but doesn't have time is a perfect tester at this stage.

    Here's what it does:

Creates a postback logging table in your database.
Adds postback logging fields to your user table.
Logs postback requests and if configured credits user accounts.
Edits the CPALead feeds to provide links with a postback Gateway ID.
Produces an i-frame suitable list of linked offers from the feeds.
Logs most setup and postback errors to disk for safety.

If you're interested in trying it out, you can post or PM me, I'll give out two or more copies to users who are proficient in php and mysql and have the time and/or interest to test with the script right away.

Meantime I'm getting my site ready to release it for download if it tests OK. I have a couple of general questions. Is there anybody here who is interested in a script this simple? Will you try it for free? Will you try it for "free" with a gateway on it?

Thanks for any feedback, and if anyone from CPALead wants an early look at the script I'll be more than happy to provide it. I don't think I'm crossing any legal or TOS bounds here, but the script and the download/instruction pages will of course say CPALead all over them...

I'll post again or edit as appropriate when I have a couple of testers signed on so no one wastes their time.

jasoneswan, that sounds like great advice. If I have technical questions regarding the feeds, the postback testing tool, and the actual interaction between the feeds and the gateways (especially regarding postback based on links outside the gateway) or that sort of thing is it better for me to chatter about that here, or contact CPALead development/support in some other way?

I am also on AIM cpaleadjason, also I just wanted to let you know you don't have to use the gateid workaround, we now offer a "Global Postback" option in your widget tab "general options" this will allow you to get postback for ANY survey completed thats not tied to a gateway that already has postback on it, hope that makes sense :)

It sounds like you've chosen Advanced Protection without uploading the required file it lets you download. You must upload the file it gives you, and then modify the script tag to point to the right directory on your website. Hope that helps :)
