Yes. This could be considered fraud.

Another point. Any IDIOTS creating fake sites, if I do an offer and find your not providing me with real content, I AM reporting you to Jeremy. You WILL be banned, do not provide fake content, it just hurts everyone else. If you want to be a black hat go elsewhere.

In other news, thanks to all the legitimate CPA Lead affiliates, and does anyone know of a site that provides a link to the movie Youth in Revolt. :)

It either is or isn't against the rules. I'm not sure how to take "could be". I'll have to see if I can find some rules somewhere on the site.

And what are you talking about when you refer to "fake sites"?

It is against rules to fill out surveys for any program.

If that is possible, then many will be creating tons of fake accounts just to fill out just to get the $

I understand that theory when it comes to pay per click advertising. Someone could throw Google Ads on their page, click them all day long and have no intention of buying anything. The product lies somewhere after the actual ad click.

A survey seems a bit different. The people putting out the surveys want the survey filled out. Whether you do it or someone else does it, I'm not so sure they care. The product in this case is the survey itself. No deception of pretending to want to buy something after clicking. You've completed what they want at the survey time I think.

I've never clicked any type of my own ad. As a matter of fact, I have $0 in lifetime CPA income. I'm just wondering and when I read the terms of service at cpaLead, it had no reference to using your own cpalead account. It may be in another document, but on their public web page it says nothing. People saying it's against the rules and it actually saying it on their site are two different things.

    Still just curious...

On the contrary, the advertisers here DO have a product to sell, and that's why they are paying cpalead publishers to push the traffic to their offers. The surveys are merely the method used to get the potential buyers information. That's why it's called a "lead".

The survey is NOT the product. The survey is merely the marketing means to an end.

    100% correct.

For example: Why do you think eBay pays per lead? because they get your information, they track what you visit on eBay and send you mails with interesting offers.

Same with survey's... if 10000 people fill in the survey they can have decent answers on their survey's and target group...

Except for the mobile offers, those are 100% the product itself :)

That sounds like a killer for wemasters with high traffic, but also adult sites are going to be hard to convert imo.

Actually I am doing someone a favor by making them some money from a lead. :) It's not an illegal link, US law has not made it illegal to link to copyrighted material. They HAVE made it illegal to host copyrighted material on any US soil. Read up on your law. :)

Umm...ever hear of contributory infringement? Maybe people aren't going to jail over it, but they are getting sued. Surely, as a reader of the law you are aware of the recent IsoHunt suit - a marginal player who just lost bigtime. The trickle down is only going growing - the MPAA has been aggressively sueing websites for merely linking for the past several years and are settling for $$$ left and right - which may be why people unaware don't hear about it. Make no mistake- this isn't an issue reserved for just US citizens either - this goes to international courts in many countries around the globe.

I'm not looking for debate - this is what is currently going on. Illegal, legal - doesn't matter - you can still can sued by giant corporations. You can take your risks, but don't talk to me as if you know what you are talking about and I don't.

I'm in Korea so when I try to test the Survery to see how much info you ask for I can't access it. I am just wondering how much of the user's info you require in order to complete the survey and how often they get email solicitations. Basically, I'd like to know if my visitors will hate me after they complete the survey.

If you don't want your visitors to hate you, disable all the mobile survey's and enable only the survey's with high conversion ratio's (you can see the conv ratio when logged into cpalead)
