I've been following this thread for quite some time, but I've never posted because I've never had a problem. However, I've been running into the "content is not unlocking" problem lately as well, like a lot of other people have and it's causing my traffic to not return. Some of my game site members have even emailed me and posted that my site is a scam, even though I have no way to control how the gateway acts!

Will this issue ever get fixed??? :(

That's not the gateways problem, it's the quality of the current surveys. Not converting. I'm also having this problem, although things have been getting better in the past 2 days.

Shouldnt the quality of the surveys only affect whether or not a click becomes a lead? Once a person fills out a survey, with their information right to the end, then the content should unlock, but it doesn't.

I agree it should be done like that, weather it convenrts or not it should still unlock.

That's going to be pretty hard to add into the gateway though, isn't it?

Looks like the gateway is messed up today, conversion rate at 6%? Not possible.
I went deep to check this out and what happened is, even thus I'm in brazil, when I clicked on an offer to brazil, it showed, "Sorry the offer is not available in your area".

That's the only reason I've found to have had 70 clicks and no conversions.
Is anybody having the same issue?

We're testing out a new formula since yesterday evening and it seems to be working pretty amazing, a lot of you should see an increase in conversions.

ThalesMM - If you have 70 clicks, first you need to find out where those 70 clicks came from. If you do not have a lot of USA or UK traffic, then it will be a little harder to get conversions. If those 70 clicks were from USA traffic, you should have around 14-18 leads. We will be adding *A LOT* more international offers this coming week, now that we have David on board to dedicate all of his time to this, to help you monetize all traffic.

JayPL - You're noticing better conversions recently because of the new formula that sorts which surveys make it to your Gateway.

money-87 - There is a lot of big changes coming around the corner, however the new formula should increase your conversions immediately. We are hesitant to provide a release date for the new Gateway because we're consistently adding new features and testing them. I also cannot release any details about the new Gateway yet, I can assure you it will be worth the wait.

My UK conversions yesterday was only 1%. I don't know what went wrong. But I won't complain because I made more than usual, mainly because of the high USA conversion rate.

Todays going well though, things seem to be picking up.

    United States 19.44% $0.10
    United Kingdom 25.00% $0.16

The UK are running low these days, but I'm apparently earning more, I'm just amazed because yesterday and the day before around this time i was over $11 already, and today it was $2,9 with a Conversion Rate for USA of 4%. I'm used to have it over 20%. So I've thought something was wrong with the gateway. :)

I'm looking forward to the new gateway and also the new surveys for worldwide visitors! :)

Why should it be hard to put into the code??

The gateway shouldn't care whether a lead is generated or not, it should unlock once it gets to the end. It's not the person who filled out the surveys fault if the advertiser doesn't like their info, unless it's total garbage.....

Yes... But I thought the advertiser (who gives the survey) sends some kind of notification to your gateway when the survey has converted, so the gateway knows when to unlock.

So... It would have to be done through the advetiser wouldn't it? And if the advertiser changed it to it sends a notification to the gateway when the user reaches the last page, well it would be pointless because it should have converted.

Or have I got the way it works all wrong... Troy? Haha.

What about adding a timer to close the Gateway, allowing us to set the time it stays open?
this way if they try all the surveys and the gateway does not unlock they could still view the content?

I know you provide a "close" button, but this would make your traffic close it more then even try to complete your surveys. Just a an idea.

I also thought about like a 5 minute timer (With the site owner able to change it).

But people who know about CPALead would probably just wait the time limit out often.

Right, also if we could do what others suggested and accept just any information, people would know they could put in false information and still get access. Thats why its very important for them to qualify for the survey and you earn for successful leads

very true, and that would just be foolish of you to allow people to enter any info.

But a timer to unlock the content, is not going to harm your profit. Its hurting more when all our visitors never come back to fill out any surveys. I don't have a problem with your service.. it works well. but i do see a change in my returning visitors because of the gateway not unlocking after they tried every survey and it did not unlock. I've received many emails about this, and I try to explain to them it has nothing to do with my site nor CPALead, And they should just give it some time and try again.

But a timer that the site owner can change would help this matter just a little. You offer a close button, why not a timer? Make the option to not use the timer, just like the close button?

It's still a decent idea to offer the chance to have a timer on your gateway. But like I said before. Many visitors might find out about the timer, and might just wait it out. So they don't have to complete a survey.

I think the new gateway should have some type of php dynamic image with an ajax popup box that displays in the middle. The dynamic image could have a javascript imagemap overlay which would point to the surveys provided to that individual. This way even if javascript is disabled they would still be locked out of the site. The only downside to this is that it would be quite difficult to setup.
