Would anyone mind sharing some of their conversion rates? I am thinking of trying a new type of content/niche with cpa lead using ppc advertising, and I just want to see if it is worth it based on other peoples websites/results. If getting about under 10% is normal, then it might be difficult for me to attempt this. If it is possible (and some successes) of people getting as high as 20% - 30% conversion rates on clicks though, that would be another story, and I would try doing this. Anyways would be interesting to see some really good success stories here

 

I believe your conversion ratio will severely be affected by the quality of your content and traffic hitting the gateway. If someone is hitting your gateway straight from a google link looking for some kind of general niche like "simpson's episodes", they may just leave and go re-search again. On the other hand in my case, if your traffic is already interested in the subject and on the site, than suddenly they find a piece of "premium" information they really want, and see a gateway is all that stands in the way, they are very likely to take the time to complete it. I currently see about a 19-20% conversion ratio from all my gateways on average. Some of them are as high as 28% average, others as low as 13-15%.

i opened a movies and tv shows site at http://www.xxxsv.com, i added some tv shows, latest songs, and added cpalead gateway to my site. now i got a doubt, do peoples will complete offers in my site for seeing the videos ???? because youtube, metacafe, are having tons of videos.......

 

YUP! I just started a TV site, and did a little SEO work, and I am already getting on average more than $1/day. Not bad for the first two weeks

 

i have not started doing SEO, i have planned to do SEO after i made 500 posts....... it seems nice that as a new site you are earning $1/day...... the traffic you are getting are organic or from other sites...... i got more than 8k visitors from youtube, but it did not covert well...... like to know weather organic traffic convert well or not.......

 

about 80% direct...I have a great domain! ...only 6% SE (havent finished SEO yet, but im starting to get propagated in stuff like google images, and yahoo uk, canada, italy, australia, etc...so its only a matter of time until I get top google and yahoo ...the rest is referral...so like 14% referral

 

Sorry to keep bumping this thread, but what do most people do? Make it so that a single user would only have to ifill out 1 survey per lifetime, per day, per 3 days...etc etc...I would like someone to share their "strategy" for that...

My thoughts are if you put it to 0...meaning once per lifetime, you stand the chance of them telling other people about it and gaining more visitors/conversions...but then on the other hand, I have mine set to once per day, and I have a repeat visitor with 6 conversions from him alone already, another one with 3 and another one with 2...so im kinda scratching my head thinking what to do.

 

Normally I have a lot of clicks and conversions, but today it looks like nobody wants to click.
I see a lot of visitors but no clicks. And CPALead team says that the gateway isn't showing up by them.
But when I use a proxie, I see the gateway showing up.
Can some of you guys take a look at my website if the gateway is showing up? See signature.
I can't see the gateway because I'm from The Netherlands.

Yes, I placed the code only at the episode pages. So visitors can take a look at the website first.

 

I just joined CPALead, tried to put one of summer vacation survey on http://www.pedeee.com today.

If your clicks are going down or you're not getting as many clicks as before, you may want to change your instruction text on your Gateway.

Your users need to know EXACTLY what they're going to get if they complete a survey, and for how long they will get it. You need to sell someone to do a survey, before they try to complete a survey. Just try your best to look at your website as if you are a first time visitor that has no knowledge of your site except for the first lines of text or pictures you see, and make sure there is enough to sell yourself to complete a survey.

The best way to find out, is to show one of your friends and tell them to navigate around your site. If they are confused when the Gateway pops up, then you need to reword your Gateway or place your Gateway on another page.

 

I did exactly what you said Troy. I had a friend here see my site and asked whether he understood what I was saying in the gateway text. He said that it was a little vague So what I did is modified the text in my gateway and added more information. I worked! Conversions up within minutes! Thanks Troy!

Is it possible to enable the gateway such that the instruction text allows for <a href> tag. It would be good to be able to direct those who don't want to fill in the survey back to the site homepage instead of them just clicking away.

Right now, there's some kind of error when I try to <a href> a "Click here" to my homepage.
