CPAlead cleaning house for new advertisers?

I saw this on CPAlead today, looks like they are finally doing the right thing.

Update (Aug 4th) - CPAlead is Taking HUGE Steps to Increase Your Earnings

At CPAlead, we know what you want, we hear it every day. You want higher performing offers, and you want them NOW! In order to provide you these higher performing offers, we have to take additional steps to ensure we're an advertiser-friendly network for ALL advertisers.

Currently, our compliance team is in the process of reviewing over 100,000 accounts on CPAlead to ensure all accounts are following our Terms of Service. If you have not been able to get a hold of your affiliate manager recently, this is what they have been busy doing. We expect this process to last until the middle of next week. Early payments will be disabled until then.

In order to work more directly to the source Advertisers, we have to ensure every single account on our network is clean of Fake Content, Spam and Adult Content.

If you know someone who has been banned recently, it is most likely due to breaking one of these three rules. The other reason they may have banned, could be due to having an inactive account for 30 days (no earnings or logins).

The publishers left over with clean content that follow our Terms of Service, will receive higher paying offers than ever imagined.

We understand that almost everyone deserves a second chance, so if your account was banned and you know what you did was wrong, please feel free to reapply. As long as you promote by these rules, you too will be able to reap the benefits of our new advertisers.

    Sincerely,

    The CPAlead Team

    Yaaaaay?

So a company says they are going to start doing a better job and this is cause for excitement lol
That's kind of like saying we've been doing a poor job until now but trust us we're going to stop screwing you around.

I'm all for improvements but this says absolutely nothing, provides no insight, no real concrete information and is quite honestly borderline forum spam since it's pretty much like running a commercial.

CPALead sounds like BP all of a sudden. You only start running this kind of stuff if you've been doing something wrong.

otherwise - just do it right? fair enough imo.

The CPA Lead team "CPATroy" contacted me after seeing this post and said are you Fehz or Jeremy???

Odd thing to write me but lol thats not really relevant to my post here but more relevant is that I'm being fair and going to say what I wrote in my message back.

I asked him to not to allow a thread be posted about his company thats pure non sense and tells us nothing. I give benefit of the doubt so it may not be of their doing
but rather than bother me and anyone who replies negatively to the thread. Take the opportunity to either let the thread starter know now to bother with this kind of junk, which imo is fair if they say.

OR just fill in the blanks and let us know WHY we should be excited, expand on it.

I've done my part. Now CPATroy in all fairness please go ahead and do yours. You didn't need to comment until you messaged me.
Now, I mean if you're going to say something to individual users who post here go ahead and add your thoughts / feelings.

Again no ill will here but you took the time to PM me but didnt take the time to add to a thread about your company? kind of strange. lets be fair.

I think this is important to post.

So I asked Troy of CPA who PM'd me to clear things up as per my last post. For posting here (anyone can read what I wrote) he threatened me?
I'm not 100% on what exactly he means but typically when someone tells you expect something in the mail it's a threat.

I didn't know that I had no freedom of speech. Hell, I didn't bash or flame but this is childish and unprofessional behavior.

Not a fan of fabricating anything nor am I a fan of being threatened for voicing my opinion. I am making no edits.

This is what I was written -

    Re: Hello
Nice try, but I don't buy it. Expect something in the mail soon.
Are you into SPAMMING? FRAUDING? FAKE CONTENT? Join another network"

Why not just reply professionally or say hey I didn't post the thread so I don't have to comment on it the thread starter is making his own assertions.

Cleaning house to me means that there is something to clean. That causes some concern. I applaud the efforts but shouldn't you ALWAYS be making an effort to keep your network clean?
Is this something you announce and expect to receive some sort of applauds for? Don't word it as cleaning house or going over accounts in an effort to weed out those not in adherence with your TOS
if you're not prepared to expect people to say 'why do you have to do that? haven't you always done that?'

Can someone let me know where I'm wrong here? It's like me saying from now on people living in my home will be healthier, I'm going to run health inspections.
It's expected someone might say 'what the hell? so you weren't doing that up until now?

Fair is fair. The thread starter got the ball rolling on this whole line of questioning (if its not broken why fix it?) The CPATroy perpetuated the situation and instead of settling it with a simple response
has taken it upon himself to act inappropriately.

    Make your own judgments.

For my part, I will choose networks that conduct themselves professionally and deliver results. It's sad to see individuals like Troy behave as they do but that doesn't mean CPALead as a whole is a poor company. This is one individual who simply isn't a professional (or may be having a bad day).

Exactly, follow the rules and you wont have anything to complain about.

If anyone has a ban to contest, please let me know. I will review your account for you.

As a follow up (I let CPALeadTroy know I would keep everyone updated with no fabrications on my end. In fairness he has not accused me of fabricating anything which is mature and fair. However, he has not addressed any of the valid questions I've posed - which again in fairness he is not OBLIGATED to but I believe should)

    Re: Hello
    Whats your publisher ID?
    Are you into SPAMMING? FRAUDING?

    My response was as follows:

    Hi Troy,

I think you've perpetuated a very poor start to our dialog. I haven't fabricated a single thing and you haven't been compliant with any of my questions which I think we can agree have all been very fair.

Now, had we started off with asking me some specifics and being professional that would be one thing. However, you just finished threatening me (its nice to see you go about threatening random strangers who disagree with you) and are now asking me to give you leadway into accessing my personal information?????

One of us has to be really stupid here. Either you're asking a very stupid question or you think I'm stupid. Do you always threaten someone then say hey btw can I get all of your personal information, bank account number , name, address and the works?

Are you for real? I won't throw insults since that really isn't my style but come ON now. Re-read what I just said, seriously dude.

This is what I can suggest as I'd prefer not to sit around at infront of my screen having a senseless debate.

First as a business man (if you intend to be a professional) recognize that there is SOME validity to the customer is always right.
Instead of fighting with me which, you SHOULD have better things to do - specially if you are making an honest effort at improving the entire network.

Second off, reply to the thread itself. That can do nothing but elevate your image here. I'm not on your payroll as a PR specialist so I'm not going to hold your hand
and take you through the process but I suggest you deliver some honest answers.

I will post this on the thread in addition to what you've written here as I think that when an individual is being honest and fair they should have nothing to hide.

I think everyone would go so far as to accept you saying that you did not start the thread and simply had a misunderstanding with me - but YOU need to take some accountability here
and act like the pro. Not like a kid in an argument - I certainly think we're both better than that.

Do as you wish. I consider this conversation closed but look forward to you taking reasonable steps to live up to your end of things.

^ Please forgive this person, it is a drone account setup by a competing network. Never was a publisher with our network.

Next update (again there are no fabrications whatsoever here and once more neither party is concerned with that and to that I can give praise since that is a higher level of maturity than many others display. For my part, this is the end unless I receive something noteworthy or once again , threatening. Lets hope not)

    Re: Hello
Here's the problem. I think you're a drone account setup by a competing network. You wont give me your publisher ID, you have been bashing us since the start of your account, and you are still bashing us now as if you have some severe anger problem. Sorry I cannot take you seriously when nothing but hate for our network (and me) comes from you.

    I wrote the following reply:
    Troy,

I have not started a single thread regarding your company. If you're still wondering as to why I won't give you my ID , AFTER you threatened me then you need to ask yourself some serious questions. At the very LEAST as to grown men you can admit that is a bit crazy. Would you provide your personal information, bank account info, address, name, phone number and the works to someone who just threatened you? Please don't answer yes as we both know you wouldn't I think we can even both share a laugh at that.

If I had an anger problem I would be riddling my threads with non sense and profanity. You could have simply addressed my VALID concerns in a private message couldn't you? Why fight with me. Let's say I was a drone account for some spy agency network whatever. Wouldn't the best way be to just say hey youre asking questions here are your answers now eat that. If I were just saying ya douchebags oh ya I hate them too oh ya they robbed me hardcore. Thats a bunch of non sense and slander and ok thats something childish competitors would do.

Unfortunately youd rather have this drawn out dialog. Also I have no agenda against your company. I have a single agenda which I do not hide from you or anyone else that is to earn as much money as I can through legitimate means and be secure.

However, what I've seen from YOU is that YOU reply to anything that is positive and either ignore or attack anything that isn't positive. If you were behaving like a mature adult and professional (which I truly believe you CAN be) you would turn a question into a positive by answering it and saying here is your reply and I in turn would say ok fair enough or ok thats great im with it or I would say ok I dont agree or am not happy but I do appreciate the reply.

You need to take accountability for yourself and be transparent rather than dance around and fight with someone. I do empathize with the fact that im one of thousands perhaps tens of thousands out there and youve been exposed to quite a bit so you may be defensive oriented but as a pro you need to shrug that off and approach each person and case positively and professionally.

I will post this and hopefully you can address what you need to then we will be done with it.

    Take care.

    -----------------------------------------
I hope this can shed light on somethings and be useful in terms of delivering perspective. Thanks.

Over 100,000 publishers and still reviewing. Anyone who wishes to contest their ban, please IM me on AIM @ CPAleadTroy.

If it turns out your content was clean and you were wrongfully banned, I will reinstate your account, give you a payout raise, and apologize. I have not had many takers yet, but I am here at your convenience.

If you're interested in coming back to our network, please give me your publisher ID and I'll see what I can do to activate your account. You will be paid for any remaining balance on your account.

Seems like a lot of people are complaining, but no one wants to do what Robert and Troy have said countless times. If you were actually banned for no reason, you would have no problem contacting them. The only reason not to contact them is if you know that you've violated the TOS.
