Hi guys, i have tried everything i know with CPA, CPC, CPS and nothing seems to work for me... maybe it's the niche i am using, the design or simply luck i am very disapointed with my past and present experience... i run a celebrity blog with 6k-7k daily visitors, google adsense said goodbye to me, and i can't find anything to make a decent revenue... with adsense i was doing allright - about $500/month and some other $100 from other networks -vibrant media and infolinks.... my site runs on a private server so the costs are pretty high - about $200/month i tried maxbounty for cpa, clicksor, adbrite and there's just no point... also i am using xtend media .. i serve about 700.000 - 900.000 impressions /month and i barely make $40 ... that's probably the lowest cpm rates i have ever worked with, but i am forced to go with them... should i give up CPA,CPC, CPS and start selling adspace and text links? or maybe i should just give up the entire site and sell it... what should i do? Maybe your looking at the wrong kind of offers,. Have you tried zip submits. I know I have ran some of those Grocery card ones on sites like this and have done well.
What are you targeting? You need offers that target the visitors to your website. Also, do you have an email list for each member? This is the easiest way to marketed targeted offers on a site getting 6-7k daily visitors. Heck, with that type of visitors, I'll monitize it for you! Lol. My targeted niche site gets about 30 -50 visitors a day, but my offers are very targeted so it earns $100 - $200 a day. Lasering your approach is the key.
Hey, sorry about what you are experiencing. But have you tried creating an application, and then blend it with CPA offers. I created one sometime ago, and guess what, the cpalead account which i created five months ago without making any dime in it made its first dollar the same day i created the application with only 2 people filling the surveys. This is what the program looks like: You will create the application using facebook, and then invite people to it. They will fill the short surveys/quizzes and earn points while your account is credited instantly. It's a beautiful platform to earn cool cash while you sleep. $100-$200 a day? hell that's huge for $100/day i am willing to split the revenue with you... any ideas how to get a better approach? what network are you using exactly?
Just looked onto your site. That kind of niches are very tough to monetize properly, bids are low and the demographic picture of an average visitor look sad - young teenagers with pocket money. However, the ways to monetize it are: create some service application that would be very attractive for youngsters and charge small amount of money for this service. Ten from your 6-7K you might get a good profit in total. Just brainstorm on possible (maybe SMS-payment) applications.
While you're looking for ways to monetize, it wouldn't hurt to consider selling link or banner space through private media buy deals if you're getting too low a price for CPM. I agree with George above, this niche can be difficult to monetize but I'm sure it's highly possible. Think about your demographic and what kind of offers they might be interested, put yourself in their shoes so to speak. Maybe even create some surveys asking questions about celebrities and see if you can fit in "age" and/or "gender" if you're not sure about your demographics. I really like your site and its shame you cant earn more. As the earlier person suggested try making your site more interactive. For a start you can start an sms alert service. I just did some numbers for you, worst scenario if 1% of our traffic sign up for a $1/week subscription alert service. You should at least do $1.8k a week. All you need is a nice banner and few keywords. Also you will be collection an opt in mobile data base which is a gold mine. I simply cant believe why site like you monetize the sites through mobile.
