    Hello,

I had one of my ten websites designed by a large web design company and it cost me £1500, I then had to pay a further £500 to another company for loads of coding to be cleaned up and to be made bug free.

The question i ask, can I remove the company's name from my footer of my website becasue i dont want anything to do with them and i dont want to mislead other people of the good work someone else did.

When you signed a contract with the original company to make your website was a footer part of the agreement? If it was you have to honor that. Before you went in payed another company to do the job you should have tried to resolve it with the original creators.

Good point, i will check the contract. I did try to resolve it but they were useless so i had enough and went else where.

If the contract specifies that you must include their credit, then you might consider claiming the £500 you spent to get the site fixed, then settling the claim on the basis tha they lose their credit.

Take legal advice before threatening proceedings, of course.
