Cover image always blurry

Discussion in 'Twitter' started by andrej, Jan 20, 2015.

I have created a new Twitter page and whatever I do, the cover image of my Twitter page always gets blurry when I upload it.

Any tips on making it not blurry?

For example HostGator has a nice Twitter cover image that is not blurry: https://twitter.com/hostgator - how can I achieve something like that?

upload a larger size image. if the image is too small twitter will expand/bow it up to fit the area it has to cover and it will look blurry.

Thanks for your advice. What size would you suggest me? I'm uploading images with the size 1550 x 500 pixels.

I'm using the Photoshop extension Social Kit and the size for a Twitter cover is 1550 x 500 pix there, but it gets blurry when I upload in on Twitter.

is the image blurry when you save it on your computer? if not then try refresh your cache on your computer and view the image again. maybe it's clear now but your browser is showing the old cached image.
if you can share the twitter account page then i can have a look at it and i might be able to see the problem by looking at it. (pm me the twitter account name if you don't want to post it publicly).

Make sure the image is not stretched or zoomed in on twitter.
Anyway, can you post a screenshot of it?

May be you are adding a small size image in cover image. Do you know the size of image for cover image? 1500px (width) X 421px (height) is the perfect size for Twitter cover image. Add image of this size. It will not look blurr.
