    Hi,Rainulf ,

Thanks for your advice. I have heard about Bootcamps. Are they helpful in getting the right knowledge?

    Regards

Tech certifications are all about keeping pace with the industrial and technological advances and to stay one step ahead of your competition.

My uni course was Software Design and Networks.

Have a look if any of your local higher education places have some courses such as this going.

If you are a beginner in IT, I suggest to get an experience in a company. Decide first if you want to be a Programmer or Network Engineer.

If you want to pursue programming, it is still better to learn that while working in a real project. You will learn how to code if you are hands on programmer. Mostly, companies do not mind if you have certificates on programming. They are more likely to check how many systems you have automate and how long you will do the job.

If you you want to handle network, try to do a Technical Support or Network Engineer jobs. Experience on these job will help you to pass the CCNA and you have less trouble understanding network, patch cable, color code, data flow etc. Mostly, certification is needed on this work.

from my experience, its much easier to work as network/system admin then to program.
However, salaries in IT are quite limited too.
In any case, you have to keep your knowledge up-to-date. Otherwise, you are out of the boat.
