I'm setup w/ MSN, Yahoo, and Google figuring they are carrying 95% of the search market... didn't even know ask.com had a sponsored search program.... was getting ready to signup and was prompted for a coupon code.... hmmm.... any ask.com coupon codes floating around??? post or pm me.. much appreciated if it's available...
i'd like to sign up with them but based on the % of traffic that ask.com sees, don't think it'll be worth it... i'd use a coupon if it were out there.... anyone from ask.com here??? post a coupon code or two
has anyone got their hands on an Ask.com coupon yet? I cant seem to find one anywhere. I want to sign up with them because they seem to have the cheapest minimum bid on the keyword I need. Much appreciated!
I never did find one but I did join up for a while. Now I didn't give 100% when dealing with ask.com and my ad campaigns and trying to make things profitable but in my opinion and for the few different products I tired selling I found ask to be horrible. I spent a few 100 bucks and got no sales (my commision on a sale usually runs between 20 and 40 dollars). Their keywords are WAY over priced for the quality of traffic. They are asking google keyword prices for traffic from findology. (good luck getting any traffic from their actual ask search engine).
well as far as i could tell your listing shows up under sponsored listing for ask.com searches does it not? At least thats how they make it seem. My keyword is only $.05 a click as there is NO competition, but around 200,000 OVT. I'm starting out with a budget of $2 a day, so I need it as cheap as possible I'm also not really selling anything, just looking for new members to signup to my site, so Im trying not to spend a lot and the coupon would definitely help.
Yes they do have a text box to input a coupon code when you sign up. Good luck finding a code though. I searched a fair number of sites looking for one. You could try looksmart. I found a 50 dollar code (I don't have it at the moment but just search google). I had more luck with looksmart but I still didn't make enough money to cover costs. The funny thing with both services is that they use the same web site interface except that the templates are just slightly different.
are they all like thaT? I have to deposit $50 before I qualify for the coupon? So is this like I pay $50 and then they give me $50?? I thought the free $50 was just so you could try it out. I dont know, I never did this before and I dont feel comfortable forking over $50 for something I have no experience with. Ahh well, thanks for the code anyway csutoras, im sure there was others who will use it.
Crap! I got a $50 coupon from the eComXpo.. (Code is ECOMX206, and expires tomorrow).. Same deal as csutoras, when you go to apply the coupon it says you first have to fund the account $50. Screw that, I'm pretty sure less than 1% of the world uses Ask to begin with - I was willing to test that theory with their free $50, but not $$ of my own.
Yeah thats exactly what I thought as well. I was under the impression it was $50 free so you can try out their service and see how you like it first. I mean, I could see them getting your card # or something beforehand so they can charge an autorefill once it gets low or something. This would give me time to set a low daily budget, try it for a few days and cancel if I'm not liking the results. But I'm just not willing to put money up front. Maybe I'm just cheap, or poor, but yeah I'd like to see some results before I fork over money.
Ask.com will really not be a place you want to advertise on. Even if your on page 2 of google more people will see you then #1 on ask.com. (imo)
ASk has partners besides their own search engine for PPC. The problem with ask is that a large majority of their partners traffic quality is crap. Regarding the coupon code. Looksmart uses the same PPC admin software as ask and when I used looksmarts coupon i had to specify a minimum payment of like $50 dollars. If I remember correctly when I logged in looksmart hadn't applied the $50 dollars to my credit card because the $50 dollar coupon was in my account and my account balance wasn't below the threshold where they charge your credit card. I then set my account payments to $10 and tested looksmart. I probably did spend about $30 dollars of my own money at looksmart before canceling my account. It may not be the same at ask but they do use the same software (as of 6 weeks ago anyways). BTW I had no problems canceling my accounts at looksmart or ask and getting a refund of my account balance.
