coupon code websites making big traffic and money

the coupon websites are having lot of traffic, but at the same time, there is lot of competition as well.

i was wondering about how they get these coupon codes ?
is there some place from where they keep on getting latest offers and promo codes ?

 

yes, it's called Commission Junction and LinkShare.

 

You simply apply at cj.com and then apply to every advertiser who offers these coupons and they email you the alerts.

 

hmm, but this doesnt seem to be a very good way of doing it. Then they have to check each email and post it on their site ??

I suppose there is some other easy way of doing this, or maybe some company/ website is offering this information at one platform itself.

 

You might be right. I did a search for rss coupon and it appears that there are some rss feeds that these websites might be using.

 

I bet they are making a lot of money. Do they pay per use of a coupon or a percentage?

 

they dont make money from giving coupons unless they are affiliates.

 

could you share a few of those, maybe in pm or on the thread, i also tried to find those, but couldnt find any intresting ones.

 

cj has more paper work to be done to get an account. I like linkshare.

 

you think that having an account at LS is the only way to get access to these coupons data ?

 

the way most do it they already have arrangements with dell and the like... then when someone posts a link they just get a commission
