Couple Wordpress Questions

1) Which is the best adsense plugin to use for Wordpress? I'm looking for something that's easy to use and works well.

2) My site is hosted off of someone else, so I don't have access to anything besides FTP. Is there any other way to install the plugins, and if so, what's the easiest way?

3) If I don't use a plugin, then how do I put ads onto my website?

1) Don't know, I don't use any

2) FTP is the way to install plugins.

3) Generate the code using the adsense wizard, then place it in your site's template. They're confusing at first, but okay once you get your head around them. Look in wp-content/themes/ and then the folder named after your theme.

Adsense-Deluxe is definitely the way to go for Wordpress plugins. Google it .. you won't be disappointed!
