couple questions re: adsnse

i have couple of questions regarding adsense...

let's say i write an article in my weblog:

where is best position to put adsense ads?
top? buttom? middle?

how many times should I put adsense ads?
i think google wouldnt display it more then 3 times on same page.. should i use all 3 times? one at the top, one in the middle and one at the buttom?

 

They don't pay by PayPal mind!
But seriously, I display 3 posts per page and place a banner unit at the bottom of each post - works fine for me.

 

i just noticed that position of adsense might even work different, so its important to know where to place it, and how many times...

 

I would prefer placing a block of ad in middle of text and regarding number of units , you can have 3 but dont make it look like a MFA , have some content aswell .

Basically crap almost spam sites.

 

I often see a lot of blogs have a block right at the top before the first post, sometimes after the title and before the content.

You can place the ads up to 4 times on your page. No more than that though or else the ads will just not show.

 

My ads are at the top and 2 skyscreapers on left and right.The perfect combination

 

i've tried, but i cant get more then 3

 

I believe he means:
3 ad units AND 1 link unit

Any more then that is violating the publishers agreement with google.
