Couple Questions: New E-Commerce, Linkbuilding and traffic

Hi title says it all, I want to know how I can get much more traffic to my site and converting those visitors into paying customers (I've read it all) just want to get extra advice, my second and third question are..how to properly linkbuild without potentially getting marked as a spammer or irritating search engines, and how is my site doing for visitors is there anything I should improve on move, add or delete?

I tend to linkbuild by commenting on related forums and other social sites such as bebo, facebook and even answering questions on yahoo answers. Is this an efficient way or am I doing it completely wrong?

How can I rank higher in Google, I do rank 1st for keyword: gatsby wax but I want to rank 1st or even 2nd, 3rd or 4th for other keywords such as: perfect hold wax, gatsby moving rubber and gatsby moving mist. How can I increase my rank, would it benefit me to edit my meta tags, descriptions and adding more relevant keywords?

    Thanks for the help!

My website is below for you to review regarding my second question (things to add, remove or tweak).

    Okay, here's a quick review.

Your website is well-made from a visitors perspective on the homepage. When I checked out some of the other pages I ran into some problems. For example on the page http://www.gatsbywax.com/gatsby-moving-rubber/air-rise.html the HTML tags are being outputted as text. I also ran into pages with missing images. You definately need to fix those problems.

Anything problem I ran into was that the <strong> tag that's being outputted as text is being placed around the entire paragraph. I wouldn't recommend doing that.

Your title is perfect for ranking for the keywords that you want to rank for. From an SEO perspective you're not doing bad at all. From a visitor perspective your website is horrible. You have to fix some of the problems like HTML being outputted as text first.

Other than that you could improve your website by adding more text to your pages. I didn't go much deeper into your website but that's all I would suggest.

That and start churning out quality backlinks from websites like Ezinearticles.

Thank you for the advice, my tech team is working hard to fix the coding problem. What else do you think we could improve on the site besides adding text and what did you exactly mean by text? You mentioned about missing images I've checked everywhere and everything seems to be in there spot could you care to elaborate?

Ezinearticles never thought of creating backlinks with them how would I do that? What I tend to do for getting more traffic is submitting my site to hundreds or even thousands of search engines and directories and posting my website (moderately) on forums and ask websites like yahoo answers, bebo etc.

    You need to

    - Remove the <HTML> tags from you product description page.
    - do the Website content Analysis
    - Create the Robot.txt file
    - Create and optimize Sitemap.xml
    - Title & Meta Tags Optimization (Meta Description + H1 Headings
    - do the Browser Compatibility Checking
    - check each Page Size
    - check Website Load Time
    - do a test for Duplicate Content Checking
    - do a test for Broken Link Checking
    - get the W3C Report

For visitors, we need to use the following methods

    - Link Building
    - Social book marking
    - Directory Submission
    - Writing and submission of articles
    - Writing and submission of Press Release
    - Forum posting
    - Comment posting

Thanks for the list of things to do I really appreciate it, just a couple questions.

    - How do I optimize my sitemap.xml and what will this do?
    - Create the robot.txt file? I'm sure we've done this and submitted it to Google
    - Whats a great way to link build and how?
    - Do you know any great places to submit to directories?

You must diversify your link building campaign.
