I have new forums up on my site

I noticed google has indexed www.myurl.com/forums/ and www.myurl.com/forums/index.php - Does that matter?

Also, when I do a :sitemyurl.com on Google for the forums it has a lot of ommited results which Google says are similiar, yet they are all completely different topics, why is this and will they still show up in searches?

Also, in regards to the ommited results thing, if you goto

    http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=si...ient=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official

(Dont goto the actual site as it might have some adultish ads) - But if you go there they have loads of pages indexed but a load ommited, but the pages are completely different, so why is that?

    Thnx

The first question is a canonical issue. Choose one or the other and link all links to the one you choose. Also, which ever method you choose, do a 301 to the other page to make sure any incoming links outside your site go to that page.

As for your listings being ommited, you have the same meta keywords and descriptions. I'd change those 2 things first on all your pages and then see what happens.
