This is a question from accounting, so I'm typing exactly what they're asking me:

If you're going to make a credit to cover an invoice, when it makes the credit, it gives them a negative time credit. When you close the regular invoice, it rolls the expiration date forward the month, when you close the credit memo, it rolls it back that month.

This messes up the print dates.

Is there a way to change credit to 0mo, 0days as default?

The problem is then it would not offset the time credit on the original invoice.
