couple of questions regarding Infractions and Reputation

Hi there I'm guessing that this has been asked many times before it's just that I'm curious about what happens if an account reaches 10 or so Infractions points even if the last nine had expired. I read somewhere that reaching 10 or so would get your account banned, I'm hoping that means 10 active infractions and that the expired point's have no effect on this or on an account overall. I think I've incurred about 6 so far and I'm worried about hitting the 10 mark even though they're expired.

Also does rep help in evaluating the creditably of an account when making a decision to ban it?

i dont think so rep will count when banning any account, i have seen many reputed members banned here on DP.
dont know the exact reasons but yes they are banned (n there were highly reputed !!)
Even few guys are banned permanently !!

Rep/itrader is not part of the banning criteria.

The worst negative rep can really do for you is essentially ban you for certain sections that require overall positive rep for posting. But a single negative rep or so won't do much of anything. You'd have to lose your green status overall for that to happen.
