    1) Why is a dropped domain considered bad?

    2) How can you tell a domain has been dropped?

Will the whois info about registeration like shown at Check Page Rank only reset when a domain is dropped and not when transferred?

    Thanks for your help guys.

Who said it's bad? Many great names drop everyday even though they're worth a lot of money. Just look at all the LLL.com names that dropped.

You mean if it's currently? Go to DomainTools.com, type in the name & view the place where it mentions how many times the name is dropped.

When a name is dropped, the age is reset to the new reg date.

ah okay i just keep seeing people asking if PR domains have been dropped or not ? i guess dropped domains are more likely to lose PR on the next update since links may have disappeared with the owner?
