Bullshit building even the simplest fission bomb requires tons of money . Highly specialized equipment , equipment millions of dollars in payment ,a good team and perfect fabrication of every stinking component .

The fission core has to be manufactured whit a precision of 0.0025 microns or the chain reaction will not even start . And we're old fashion casting here since pressure molding will leave air gaps and bye bye fission . And this is the easiest part in the process .

 

How much does the design of a nuke cost ?

 

You mean the theoretical phase ? It depends on the material used . Are we talking about the fission sphere ready made , do you have standard material or are we talking about material that needs to be tested for it qualities ?

 

Let us assume that one wants to use ready made materials.

 

How powerful do you want the bomb to be ? We're talking fission only (adding fusion will increase the costs exponentially) .
