Country of hosting

I'm targeting UK with my website, but I registered in with GoDaddy and also took their hosting which is not UK based (though it's supposed to be Europe based).

In Google Webmaster Tools I set that the website is targeting UK. Is that enough or should I change hosting to UK based?

well, for seo i would change to a uk host. but for webmaster tools, just setting target to uk should be sufficiant

 

So the answer would be that the settings in the WebM Tools have nothing to do with the way Google search engine treats your site? I could set it to China in the WM Tools, but that wouldn't change my SERP in Google.co.uk?

its ok for you if you have set uk in webmaster tools.............................add uk as your first word in title..............

a country based hosting helps in faster loading other than that ntn else i would say

 

I totally agree with you Bohra! I am based in Uk but I get all my hosting from US. And depending on which one you use thte loading might even be the same as in your country.
