country location is very rudimentary anyway, ip2country is a standard contribution with a huge ip database that allocates ranges to countries. not exactly rocket science. on the other hand, a geo-location script, for example - determining that somebody is in, say, London - is far more valuable. you all know AdultFriendFinder and their targeted ads: Find somebody in London now etc. now, imagine you are a nation wide estate agent and are offering properties to let / purchase via affiliate advertising... you do NOT want to be putting out adverts for flats in Manchester to people in London, do you? i'd love to get a solid api for "ip to geolocation" ...
