I'm new around here and I apologize upfront for my inexpertise....I have a quick question.

Right now, we are advertising various countries. We are having trouble appearing both on the .co.fr and on the .com IN France -- or alternatively on the .co.cn and the .com IN china. Meaning, we would like to for someone to see (after typing in "keyword x") in France on google.com and google.co.fr
our ad...but somehow its not showing up on the .com

What do the language and the country settings need to be placed on for this to work?

    Additionally,

If we have two campaigns - one in French and one in English (from the example above) - then what would the be settings of the two campaigns?

    Thanks.
    Ben

The country setting is based on the users ip address so when you are search on .fr .co.uk etc the ad's are being displayed which are targeting your location.

You can test your ad's for different locations using Google Ad Preview.

Some of my people are presently located abroad - and they cannot see the ad showing up on the .com but can see it on the co.country...I think it has to do with the language setting....??

Another good way to test this would be to copy one of your AdGroups to a new campaign and only target those specific countries to see how many impressions, clicks, average positions etc you get.
