    Hi,

I want to find out the backlinks that a SPECIFIC web page has (NOT the whole domain). I am not interested to find all the backlinks that a domain has. I know that you can find this if you type links:example.com

I am interested to find out the backlinks that a specific html page has... for example... what are the backlinks of example.com/category/article/bla-bla-bla.html

How can i find out these kind of backlinks?

    Thanks

    George

Easy, type that page URL into Yahoo with the 'link:' operator, or, simply type the URL into Yahoo site explorer.

You can also install a SEOBook or SEOQuake toolbar to view pages total back links on the fly.

    Hi, George

I would like to recommend seoquake add-on for Firefox. It would display back link number for your current-on pages. Really handy and helpful.

    have a nice day,

    There are two simple ways

    1. Sign up Google Webmaster Tools, get your website verified and wait for the overall data on link popularity
    2. Type "link:(specific page URL)" in Google to see if links that counted toward that certain page from Google perspective.

I would recommend the first way for more clearly in details.

The best answers you could get, which I also recommend, were adding your site in the google webmaster console, and typing the exact link you want to analyze in the yahoo site explorer console. I mainly use these two. But when I needed to immediately see the anchor text used in the backlinks of the link I want to analyze, I use the tool backlinkwatch[dot]com provides.

Regardless of whether you use LINK: at Google or Yahoo! Or whether you look at the links from inside Google webmaster Tools... you will likely NEVER know all of the links known by Google nor will you know which links are being counted.

The link: operator at Google and Yahoo! BOTH only show a sample of your inbound links. At Google it is typically a very small sample... At Yahoo! it is a much more exhaustive sample, but still a sample known the less... and only the links known by Yahoo!, not necessarily the same links known by Google since each engine has different pages indexed. And as far as Google WMT goes, it too only shows a sample of your links. It's typically a little more than Google shows with link: but it is still usually only a small sample of your known links.

Thanks for all the aswers.. BUT

Something that i forgot to clarify is that i want to find out the inbound links that a SPECIFIC web page (not the whole domain!!!) has.. but that domain doesnt belong to me. I want to analyze some pages of a competitor one by one. I know how to find out how many backlinks his home page has.. but thats not what i am looking for.. I am looking for the inbound links to SOME of the pages that this domain has.. for example i want to know how many backlinks an article gets that belongs to a competitor.

    Thanks

    George
