Count website-wide backlinks for PR?

    Here is a newbie question, I searched for an answer but I did not found anything useful.

    For example Google crawls this forums and finds all my posts where I also have a link to my homepage in the signature. If Google finds 100 pages on DP with a link to my site is only one used/domain or does each page count?

    Google will crawl and know about all your links on DP, but will not show all of them in your link: query. Google will not necessarily give importance to all of them. But to answer your question, all the links will not be counted as just one. How many will be indexed, only Google knows.

    I was just wondering why Google is not counting only one link per domain. That would prevent a lot of PR misuse.
